Museum Curator
Hong Kong Maritime Museum
 
The Hong Kong Maritime Museum is seeking to employ an experienced, creative Curator to manage initiatives associated with the redevelopment of the Museum’s permanent exhibits, in particular to those focused on the Hong Kong maritime sector during the twentieth century. The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of modern Hong Kong history, the personality and management skills to coordinate a variety of stakeholders, a sound knowledge of museum practice, relevant previous experience developing exhibits and good writing skills.
 
The successful applicant will need to be an excellent communicator. Good language skills in both English and Chinese are desirable but not essential. Qualifications in shipping, logistics, marine science or project management are also desirable. Individuals with less experience who could fill the role of Assistant Curator are also encouraged to apply.
